Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy covers both the trackme web application (any *.trackme.cloud subdomain) and the trackme Android app. trackme is IT asset management software sold to companies ("customers"); if you're a customer's employee using trackme at work, your employer controls your account and its data — contact them first for access or deletion requests.

Who we are

trackme ("we", "us") provides multi-tenant IT asset management software. Each customer company gets an isolated workspace; data from one company is never visible to another.

Information we collect

Account information. When a company signs up or an admin adds a user, we store that person's name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Asset and inventory data. Whatever your company's admins choose to record — asset details, purchase info, assigned locations/departments, software licenses, loan history, comments, and any files or photos attached to a record.

Camera (Android app only). The app uses your device's camera to scan barcodes/QR codes on asset tags. Scanning happens entirely on-device using on-device barcode recognition — no camera image or video is ever transmitted to our servers or stored, only the decoded text of the barcode itself.

Technical data. Standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint) for security and abuse prevention, and session tokens used to keep you signed in. On Android, the session token is stored using the device's encrypted credential storage, not plain text.

We do not use advertising SDKs, ad tracking, or third-party analytics trackers in the Android app or the web app.

How we use information

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data is shared only with:

Data storage and retention

Data is stored on servers we operate, backed up nightly, and retained for as long as your company's account is active. If a company account is deleted, its data is removed; individual users should contact their company's admin for account-specific deletion requests.

Your choices

If you're an individual user, contact your company's trackme admin to update or remove your account. If you're a company admin and want your company's data exported or deleted entirely, contact us at the address below.

Children's privacy

trackme is business software and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated to customer admins by email.
